We also collect information about the transactions you undertake, including details of payment cards used.
We may collect additional information in connection with your participation in any promotional programs offered by Woods, and information you provide when giving us feedback or completing profile forms. In addition, Woods will access the information retrieved through your use of your Woods Club Card.
Use of Your Information and Your Preferences
We will use your information to provide and personalize Woods services, to help us improve our service to you, and to make our communications more relevant.
We will also use your contact details to regularly communicate with you. We may use your information to send you offers and information from Woods, as well as other carefully selected companies which we think may be of interest to you.
Once you have registered to use some portions of the Online Content, you may be provided with access to a “Contact Preferences” page that will allow you to tailor our commercial communications to your preferences. To change your contact preferences for those portions of the Online Content simply click “My Account” in the top frame and click “Your Contact Preferences”. If you do not want to receive commercial communications from us, please select your choices by using the boxes available on that page.
Woods would like to hear your views to help us improve our service. From time to time, we may contact you to solicit your opinions. Again, if you do not wish to be contacted for this purpose, please make your choice on the “Contact Preferences” page.
Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you, regardless of your contact preferences, for administrative or operational reasons relating to our service. In such cases you consent to our use of electronic communications to provide information to you, such as any notice required by law such as data breach notifications, among others.
Disclosures of Your Information
Your information may be used by Woods, all of its related companies and affiliates. We will never pass your personal data to anyone else, except for any successors to our business and the organizations that process data on our behalf. We may also use and disclose information in the aggregate (so that no individual customers are identified) for marketing programs, advertisers, and partners.
Woods may display targeted advertisements to you through the Online Content based on personal information. Woods does not provide any individual personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may, however, assume that people who interact with, view, or click targeted ads meet the targeting criteria—for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.
When you use some portions of the Online Content that are visible to the public, or post on a forum, chat room, or social networking service and tag or link to Woods, the personal information and content you share is visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to share or submit in these instances. For example, if you list your name and email address in a forum posting, that information is public. Please take care when using these features of the Online Content.
Other Web Sites
Woods uses both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time, unless you remove the cookie in the manner determined by your particular Internet browser. Disabling the cookie function for your Internet browser will restrict the online services you can use at the Woods website. By using the Online Content, you consent to the storage of both types of cookies on your device.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons)
We use clear gifs on our sites from Google Analytics and other 3rd party vendors. This enables us to gauge the effectiveness of our services and marketing programs.
Woods may use other technologies, both currently existing and yet to be developed, to collect information from you and about your usage of the Online Content. Woods is not limited to using only technologies that are disclosed in this policy, but may uses other such technologies as it determines are necessary or useful in its sole discretion.
As is true of most internet services, we may gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit websites and applications, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the site, to learn about user behavior on the site, to improve our product and services, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. Woods and its affiliates may use this information in our marketing and advertising services.
In some of our email messages, we may use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Woods website or other portions of the Online Content. When customers click one of these URLs, they may pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.
Pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a format customers can read, and they tell us whether mail has been opened. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.
The security of your personal information is very important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Once we receive the data it is immediately re-encrypted prior to storage. By default, payment card data is permanently destroyed within 91 days of submission, though in some cases it may be retained longer.
Woods follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted by you, both during transmission and upon Woods receipt. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while Woods strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
